12/18/01 Daytona ARCA Test Pictures

12/16/01 In Sunday's ARCA tests at Daytona International Speedway, Sunny Hobbs posted a best time of 50.096, at 179.655 mph average lap speed. Unfortunately the car developed an engine problem in the morning which ended testing early. For sponsorship information email sunny@sunnyhobbs.com

12/15/01 Daytona ARCA Tests In Saturday's ARCA tests at Daytona International Speedway, Sunny Hobbs posted a best time of 51.452, at 174.9 mph average lap speed. The intital attempt by Sunny Hobbs in an ARCA car at the Florida speedway was a success, as Hobbs said "I think we had a great day, even with an intermediate car we were able to be competitive. Tomorrow we plan to try a few adjustments for more speed, and I'm really looking forward to a better time, and more seat time." Sunny plans to be back at Daytona for the Feb. 10th Race. ARCA website

Sunny spent today at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. with Stock Car Racing magazine for a photoshoot as part of a feature on "Women in Racing." The story will appear in the February issue which hits the stands mid-January.

Sunny was contracted by Pit Wall Productions to be a TV pit reporter for Saturday night's USAC WorldCom Midget & Stoops Freightliner Series races at Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway in South Boston, Virginia. Below are the TV air times for the 2 races.

UPDATE 9-17-01
Although Sunny's race efforts were put on "hold" this season due to lack of sponsorship, Sunny continues to aggressively pursue her career in racing. Sunny has competed in several sports car (SCCA) events in an effort to keep herself in the seat as much as possible. Additionally, Sunny is working on pulling together a race program for next year.
